The death of Nancy Mary Rice in her 32nd year, beloved wife of Gordon H. Rice of Asquith, Sask. occurred at a local hospital on May 7, 1948. The Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 9, at 2 p.m. Standard time from the Asquith Baptist church conducted by Rev. H. West. Park Funeral Chapel is in charge. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Fairbrother, four sisters, Mrs. Emily Addison, Mrs. Evelyn Potts, Mrs. Annie George, Mrs. Edna Locke; seven brothers, Joe, Herbert, Harry, Floyd, Frank, Edward and Horace Fairbrother; four sons, Kenneth, Arthur, Gerald and Gordon; one daughter, Shirley. Burial will take place in the Asquith Cemetery.3

The funeral service of Nancy Mary Rice who died on May 7, 1948, was held from the Asquith Baptist Church on May 9, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. H. West. Pallbearers were R. Rousell, W. Beirnes, G. McNab, W. Gale, A. Brooks, R. Summach. Burial took place in the Asquith Cemetery.9

     In the obituary of Joseph A Fairbrother who died 27 March 1998, his sister, Nancy Rice was listed as predeceased.11
     In the obituary of Gordon Haydon Rice who died 5 August 2006, wife, Nancy Mary Fairbrother was listed as predeceased.7
     In the obituary of Arthur Neil Rice who died 20 February 2013, Nancy Rice was listed as predeceased.12

Nancy's obitiary lists sons Gerald and Gordon. These are probably Keith and Denny, but I don't know which is which.

The obituary also mentions a surviving sister (Edna Locke) who is not mentioned in the Asquith history.3
