Rick Moffat - Assuming James and Mary Vamplew were the parents of "our' William Vamplew, and that the James Vamplew, widower in the 1861 census for Skidbrook is the same person, then William had a brother John as well.8

Census Data

James Vamplew appeared on the 1861 British Census of in Lincolnshire, England, at Skidbrook parish, enumerated 7 April 1861, enumerated as a widower and a cottager of 15 acres.
