     Betty Louise Ewing died on 19 February 1983 at Los Angeles County, California, USA, at age 60.^1,2
     Betty appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Boulder City, Clark County, Nevada in the household of her parents, Albert and Willa Bell Ewing.³ Betty Ewing, of Boulder City, was the informant on the death registration of her father, Albert Austin Ewing, who died on 5 May 1944.⁶
     Darlil (sic) W. and Betty E. Hayes appeared on the 1950 U.S. Federal Census of Boulder City, Clark County, Nevada, enumerated 26 April 1950, described as asst. power plant operator for a city public utility; and, she was a statistical clerk for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.⁴
     In the obituary of George W. Hayes who died 2 May 1959, his daughter-in-law, Betty Hayes, was listed as a survivor.⁷
     The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.

     The following obituary appeared in the newspaper the Valley Falls New Era published in Valley Falls, Kansas 11 December 1897:

     She appeared on the 1906 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces Twp. 36, Saskatoon district, Saskatchewan in the household of her parents, John and Maggie Johnston.⁵
     In the obituary of Margaret Johnston who died 15 January 1933, her daughter, Mrs. T.W. Geall of Grandora, was listed as a survivor.⁶
