     She was referenced in the obituary of Herman Schoenfeldt on 5 April 1919 in the family tree of The family of Kenneth Powell & Susan Rees; viewed; Herman Schoenfeldt died of appendicitis, as did his daughters Pearl and Esther. Esther was very attached to her father and didn't want to live when she knew he died. His death came as a complete surprise to everyone. He was apparently in good health until about ten days previous to his death when he had an appendicitis attack. Dr. Reeves of Eganville was summoned on Friday, March 28, 1919 and he was sent to the Cottage Hospital in Pembroke where that evening he underwent an operation. The operation was not successful and on Wednesday, April 5, 1919 (at 12.30) he passed away.
