FINAL RITES FOR MRS. G. H RENWICK
Native Of Ohio Grove Buried In Ohio Grove Cemetery Last Sunday
Funeral rites for Mrs. G. H. Renwick, who will be better known in this community as Ada Gandy, were accorded Sunday afternoon from the Kebil Funeral Home here at 2:30 o'clock with Dr. H. H. Hough of the Iocal. Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Ohio Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Renwick, who was 80 years old, died suddenly at her home in Darwin, Minn., and as the family resided in this vicinity many years, arrangements were made for the service here and interment in the family lot at Ohio Grove.

Daughter of Pioneers
The decedent was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Jane Gandy and was born in Ohio Grove. [Note that an another version of her obituary in the De Kalb Daily Chronicle dated July 10, 1943 gave her mother's name as Lucinda]

Following her marriage to Mr. Renwick, they lived in Mayfield for a number of years, then moved to Sumner, Iowa, and later took up farming near Darwin, Minn. Before the family moved to the northwest, it was prominently known in the Ohio Grove community.

She is survived by her husband, five sons, Walter and Arthur both of Iowa, Louis and Joe in Austin, Minn., and Russell at home; a daughter, Jessie Renwick of Moline, who went to Darwin to assist in the care of her mother. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Vida Christman, of Hayfield, Minn., formerly of DeKalb; a brother, Harris Gandy, also of Hayfield, and a cousin, Emmet Gandy, of Sycamore. She was a sister-in-law of R. R. Renwick of this city.
