Pioneer Railman Dies at 87 Years
     Life member of the Northern Alberta Pioneers" and old-timers' association and veteran railroader in the west since 1883, Thomas D. McGillivray. 87, Astor house, Edmonton, died in hospital Friday.
     Mr. McGillivray was known throughout the west by veteran railroad employes. He was a respected friend of many C.P.R officials who have known him since the early 1900 s. He assisted In building the C.P.R, through the Kicking Horse pass.
     He was born in Glengarry, came west to Maple Creek, Sask, in 1883. to begin his colorful life as a railroader.
     His wife predeceased him in 1913. The veteran C.PR. employe is survived by four children. Norman and Miss Anna of Edmonton: Ray of Bend. B.C. and Mrs. George Nisbet of Bremner.
     Funeral service will be held Saturday at 3:00 pm. from Andrews funeral chapel. Rev. Ross Cameron, minister of First Presbyterian church, will conduct the service. Internment will be in family plot of Edmonton cemetery.3
