     John Scott was born on 17 June 1837 in ScotlandG.5 Alternatively, he was born in 1839 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1,4,6 He was the son of Hercules Scott and Agnes Johnston.4 John married Isabella Gray Jamieson, daughter of Alexander Jamieson and Isabella McArthur, on 10 January 1862 in Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.1,7,2,4,6 John died in 1910.1 He was buried in Renfrew Public Cemetery (Thompsonville Cemetery) (Conc. 1, Lot 8), Renfrew, Horton Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.1

     Hercules Scott was born in November 1804 in ScotlandG.3 Alternatively, he was born circa 1816 in ScotlandG in the 1861 census.2 Hercules married Agnes Johnston before 1839.1,4 Hercules died This may be the Hector Scott who died in Bromley Twp. , Renfrew County on Apr 9th 1906.      Hercules Scott was also known as Hurkless Scott in the 1901 census.3

     She also went by the name of Bell Scott.4

Isabella Scott appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Renfrew, Horton Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario in the household of her parents, John Scott and Isabella Scott, listed as a milliner.2 Bell Scott was listed as a witness to the marriage of Frederick A Geraldi and Marion O Scott on 31 January 1900 in Renfrew, Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.4,5 Isabella Scott was the informant on the death registration of Isabella Gray Jamieson.1,6
