     Nelson Stiele Allcock was born on 27 July 1918.9,4 He was the son of Thomas Everett Allcock and Ethel Gertrude Johnston.5,6,7,8,4 Nelson died on 20 July 1941 in London, EnglandG, at age 22 during a blackout while serving as a despatch rider.3,8,10,4 He was buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey, EnglandG, Grave Reference 31. G. 7. -- Brookwood is 30 miles from London.3

     He also went by the name of Steele.11,12 He ended military service in 1941 Gunner L/255, 2 Lt. A.A. Regt., Royal Canadian Artillery. Ida Flynn recorded that he was a "Dispatch rider Royal Canadian Artillery. Killed in an accident, London, Eng."3,13 In the obituary of Thomas Everett Allcock which printed 1 February 1958, Thomas's son, Nelson Steele Allcock was listed as predeceased.7 Nelson Steele Allcock was listed as predeceased in the obituary of Ethel Gertrude Johnston who died 8 September 1980, Ethel's son.8 Steele Allcock was listed as predeceased in the obituary of Mary Louise Wilson who died 13 March 2008, Mary's brother-in-law.14
