Sarah Beach1

F, #10719, b. before 1844
Last Edited31 Oct 2016
Sarah Beach was born before 1844 estimate, and possibly born in Canada, if Mary C Smith was her daugther.1,2,3 Sarah married Thomas James Smith, son of James Smith and Jane Langdale, before 1860.4,1
Sarah appeared on the 1870 U.S. Federal Census of Seward Twp., Winnebago County, Illinois, in the household of James Smith and Jane Smith, of an undetermined relationshiph to James Smith and Jane Smith, possibly their daughter-in-law, the widow of their son Thomas James.5

Family

Thomas James Smith b. 31 Mar 1830, d. 21 May 1864
Child
  • Mary C Smith b. c 1860; Since the 1880 census shows that the father of Mary C Smith, the grand-daughter of James Smith, was born in England, I assume that he was Thomas. According to my research so far, he was the only one of James' living sons born in England. If Thomas was the father, then Sarah Beach may have been her mother.6,2
