Jackson Community Dies of Wounds
     Logansport. — Jack Childress 16-year-old son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Childress of the Jackson community Shelby county died in a Shreveport hospital Saturday night as the result of wounds in the neck caused by the accidental discharge of a 12-gauge shotgun while on a Fourth of July jaunt in woods above Joaquin, Texas, with a boy companion.
     Funeral services were to he held at the Jackson church Monday at 3 p.m. with burial in the Jackson cemetery.
     Surviving besides his mother and father are two sisters Miss Laura May Childress of Fort Worth and Ethel of Jackson; one brother, Dr Lavon Childress of El Paso, Texas, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. J. E. Childress of Jackson.4
