Jodey was born on 20 October 1960 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CanadaG.1 He died on 11 January 2004 in Trail, British Columbia, CanadaG, at age 43.6,4
The following information is extracted from his obituary. Survivor(s): Olive Summach and Debee Taras. Predeceased: Edward Summach and Harvey Summach.4 Jodey Keith Summach was buried on 16 January 2004 in Trail, British Columbia, CanadaG.7

In the obituary of Harvey Edward Summach who died 10 January 1967, his brother, Jodey Summach was listed as a survivor.8
Medical: Jodey also suffers from a rare degenerative disease similar, if not the same as the one that claimed his brother Eddie. In 1996 he lives in a group home where he can be cared for.9
In the obituary of Harvey Wesley Summach who died 29 May 1997, Harvey's son, Jodey Summach was listed as a survivor.10
A second memorial service was held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Saskatoon on January 17th.11
Just a note that Jodey passed away on January 17 (Rick - see below for correct date). I guess his disease had him bed ridden for some months now and he was ready to go. Olive was out for a week to see him shortly before he died, I guess he passed away a couple of days after she left. She said she couldn't go see him the last couple of days, it was just too hard. She gave me a warmest smile when I asked "What do you think he was doing now?" She talked to me about him getting a new wheelchair in October but didn't have the strength to push the button to make it go after a couple of blocks. That was about the last he was out. His funeral was in Trail on Friday and the family had a memorial service for him here yesterday. Nadine, Wes and John (Taras) reflected memories. It became evident Jodey was a man of faith and thankfulness. His testimony impacted those he know. He is Wes' hero.

Wish I had known him. I don't know if you know he was married about a year and a half ago. Married a woman with MS. Her name was Sandi or Sally I think but am unsure.

Deaths (01/14/04)
SUMMACH _ Jodey Summach of Trail, BC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2004 at the age of 43 years. For most of his life Jodey battled courageously a progressive nerve disease. Jodey was born in Saskatoon on October 20, 1960, lived in Calgary, Creston, BC and in Trail. Jodey is survived by his wife Ann (nee Chernoff); mother, Olive Summach of Saskatoon; brothers Ron (Adeline) of Calgary, Wes (Joy) of Golden Prairie, SK; sister Debee (John) Taras of Saskatoon. He was predeceased by his brother Edward (1967) and his father Harvey (1997). The family wishes to thank the staff of Alpha House for the special care given to Jodey over the last eight years. Jodeys' faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, over his life, was steadfast. Jodey will always be remembered for his humour, even in the toughest of times. He came to know many people in Trail, as he travelled everywhere in his wheelchair. The family also appreciates the love and care shown to Jodey by Dr. B.K. Dobovicnik, Pastor Ken Siemens, Social Worker Terry Jones, friend Bruce Taylor and other numerous friends in Trail. Memorial Services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Trail on Friday, January 16, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. and at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Saskatoon on Saturday, January 17 at 3:00 p.m. Memorial tributes may be made directly to Alpha House, 1681 Bay Ave., Trail, BC V1R 4B4, or to the Gideons.

Isabella Moffat
Isabella was born on 4 March 1866 in Clarke Twp., Durham County, Ontario, CanadaG, Bill Moffat gives her birth location as Clarke Twp., Ontario, but he has the month and day of birth reversed. At least they are reversed compared to this date, that Grandma Moffat recorded. Since Grandma probably recorded information given to her by Grandpa Alfred, and he was Isabella's brother, I consider this the most reliable date of birth.12,5,13,4 Alternatively, she was born on 11 March 1866 Died at the age of 19 per Janet Hume and Mary Louise Young. Mary lists her birth date as March 11, 1866.14 or on 3 April 1866 in Clarke Twp., Durham County, Ontario, CanadaG, per Bill Moffat.15 Alternatively, she was born circa 1868 in Ontario, CanadaG, since she was age 13 in the 1881 census and according to her grave marker.16,9 She died in 1888 according to her grave marker.16 Alternatively, she died in 1885 in Bowmanville, Regional Municipality of Durham, Ontario, CanadaG, according to family sources.6,10,4 She was buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Newtonville, Haldimand Twp., Northumberland County, Ontario, CanadaG.16

In the March 31, 1885-1886 Financial Statement for the Orono Presbyterian Church, Miss Isabella Moffatt is listed as one of the Missionary Collectors.
