I do not think William John Watson and William Watson are the same individual. The later appears to have been single in 1881, and living with his mother, a widowed storekeeper.3

This may be the William Watson who died of diabetes in Bruce County Jan 10, 1898 at the age of 49.3

     He was born on 22 April 1840 at England according to the 1901 census.2 Alternatively, he may have been born in 1838 at England according to the 1911 census, and he immigrated to Canada in 1839.3
     Ralph Bullock died on 22 April 1920 at House of Industry and Refuge, Nichol Twp., Wellington County, Ontario, Canada, at age 80 of old age according to Ontario Death Registration 040295. I assume this is the same individual. He had lived in this "poor house" between Fergus and Elora for about 18 years at the time of his death. His age was given as 82, with no other details.1 The informant on his death registration was D. M. Allan, of Furgus, Ontario, with no relationship given.1
     He immigrated between 22 April 1840 and 31 December 1840 to Canada from England.2
     Ralph appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Puslinch Twp., Wellington County, Ontario, in the household of Robert Watson and Elizabeth Watson, and he was listed as a wage earner.4
