On 25 March 1953, at North Korea, he was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy on 'Old Baldy' ... and presumed dead on March 26, 1954. For his leadership and valor, Lieutenant Price was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.8,5 Richard M. Price ended his military service on 25 March 1953 at North Korea. He is commemorated in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu, Hawaii.
