Mrs. Harvey became ill with a cold about February 12, remained home for about a week, then worked four days, and again was confined to her home Friday after becoming seriously ill Thursday night. Saturday she was taken to the hospital. She was the widow of Arthur J. Harvey, a foreman in the city water department, who died March 19, 1931. Born May 20, 1882, in Kalamo township, Eaton county, the daughter of Leander and Viola (Morris) Wack, Mrs. Harvey had resided in Battle Creek for about 24 years. She also had been employed for several years at Klein's store. She was a member of Battle Creek chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul Mapes of 65 Manchester; a son, Robert E. Sykes of Lawrenceburg, Ind; her mother, now residing in Bowling Green, O; a brother, Charles Wack of Bowling Green; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Rockwood of Bowling Green, Mrs. Bessie Saunders of Kalamo, and Mrs. Mary Faust of Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Hebble chapel with the Rev. Carleton Brooks Miller in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Park.1
