Note that his obituary as transcribed on his Find A Grave memorial page gives his birthplace as North Gower (pronounced Gor according to Wikipedia) but does not distinquish between the village and the township, so I have opted to use the township which includes the village.1 George married Possie Carrie Mitchell in 1916 at Calgary, Alberta, Canada.1,3
     He died on 16 August 1950 at Lacombe Hospital, Lacombe, Alberta, Canada, at age 70.1 George Huxtable Wallace was buried on 18 August 1950 at Fairview Cemetery, Lacombe, Alberta, Canada.1
     The following obituary appeared Calgary Herald published in Calgary, Alberta 18 August 1950 :
A former Calgary resident and a well-known contractor and builder for many years, George Huxtable Wallace, 70, died Wednesday in the Lacombe hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Wallace was born in North Gower, Ont., and moved to Nokomis, Sask., in 1908. The following year he came to Calgary and lived here until moving to Lacombe in 1933.

He was a member of the United Church and the Masonic Lodge No. 476, North Gower, Ont.

He will be buried today in the Lacombe cemetery following the funeral service in the Lacombe funeral home at 2 p.m.
