Lois Genter Will Wed Robert E Kelley in Late June
Miss Lois Genter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Genter, has chosen June 25 as the date for her wedding to Robert E. Kelley, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Haworth. Both of the young people were reared in San Pedro and are graduates of the local high school.
The troth news was revealed at a party given by the parents of the bride-elect at their home on Eighth street by a clever announcement card, bearing the pictures of the engaged couple and enclosed in a scroll on which the guests wrote their bits of wisdom and advice. These were assembled in a bride's memory book and created much comment and merriment when read as a part of the evening’s entertainment.
Besides the honorees, a formal dinner party included Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Haworth and daughter, Dorothy Daugherty, and the host and hostess and their sons, Jack and Bob.
Relatives of the family and friends chosen for the wedding party, invited for the evening, were Messrs and Mesdames A. J. Keltie, R. W. Stratton and Charles Overstreet; Misses Ruth Ihme and Betty Jane Skirvin and Mr. Robert Funk, all of Long Beach. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Genter and daughter, Jean, of Wilmington; the Rev. and Mrs. Oscar J. Nurse, Messrs and Mesdames C. J. Genter, R. F. Genter and O. M. Bullock and Miss Carrie Bullock, all of San Pedro.13

M. Bullock and Miss Carrie Bullock, all of San Pedro.5
