     Ann McInnes Forrest began military service on 14 April 1915 at the age of 40, although she claimed to be 34, joining the C.A.M.C. (Canadian Army Medical Corps).. She was an unmarried nursing sister. She was described as being 5' 7" and 155 lbs. with a dark complexion, "Mud?" eyes and dark hair.3 Nursing Sister Annie McInnes Forrest ended military service as part of general demobilization on 19 July 1919 at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, having served in England and France, and receiving the Royal Red Cross Decoration 1st Class (04 Jun 1917).
