     David was born on 12 October 1860 in Clarke Twp., Durham County, Ontario, CanadaG.1,2,3,4,5,10,8,9 Alternatively, he was born in October 1862 in Ontario, CanadaG, in the 1911 census but this is obviously incorrect since he was enumerated in the 1861 census.11 David married Elizabeth Ham on 24 February 1886 in Orono, Clarke Twp., Durham County, Ontario, CanadaG.7,2,3,11 He died on 6 March 1935 in 208 Athol Street, Oshawa, East Whitby Twp., Ontario County, Ontario, CanadaG, at age 74 according to Ontario Death Registration 025971. The informant was M Moffatt.1 David Moffatt was buried on 8 March 1935 in Union Cemetery, Oshawa, Ontario, CanadaG.1

     He lived at 20 Albert Street, Oshawa, East Whitby Twp., Ontario County, Ontario, CanadaG, in 1921 occupation given as mach Chev, so he was a machinist, possibly at the Chevrolet factory in Oshawa.12 He lived at 20 Albert Street, Oshawa, East Whitby Twp., Ontario County, Ontario, CanadaG, in 1923 He worked at McLaughlin Motor Co..
