The funeral of one of the original settlers at Juniata took place yesterday when Mrs Margaret Beirnes was buried in the Wheatfield cemetery, Rev. J. W. Cuddeford, of Sutherland, officiating. Mrs. Beirnes, who died last Sunday, was born in 1864 at Palmerston Ontario, and came west with her husband in 1903. They settled on a homestead at Juniata. Mr Beirnes died three years ago. A son, George operates the farm, and two daughters are Mrs. Frances Davidson, of Kinley, and Mrs. Miners, of Saskatoon. Sisters reside at Hanley, Floral, Asquith and Saskatoon.
