     He was born on 24 July 1854 at Ontario, Canada.3,5 Alternatively, he may have been born circa 1857 at Ontario, Canada, according to the 1881 census.6 Chambers married Anabel Murray, at the home of her father, on 21 October 1874 at Ekfrid Twp., Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada.3,7,5,6
     Chambers McRoberts died on 1 December 1940 at Kenora, Kenora District, Ontario, Canada, at age 86 according to Ontario Death Registration 020120.8 The informant on his death registration was his son, James Murray McRoberts.8
     Chambers McRoberts was buried at Lake of The Woods Cemetery, Kenora, Ontario, Canada.9
     Chambers McRoberts of Chaplin, Saskatchewan was listed as next-of-kin on his father David's conscription papers.10
     His name was also recorded as James McRoberts.6
     The family settled land in Ekfrid Twp, Middlesex County, Ontario in 1835.11
     Listed as a Farmer and Mill Owner in the county atlas.12 Chambers McRoberts was listed as a witness to the marriage of Uriah McRoberts on 21 October 1879.13
     James and Annie McRoberts appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Ekfrid Twp., Middlesex County, Ontario, enumerated 4 April 1881. James was described as a Farm Millright and a Presbyterian. Their children, William S, James M., Elizabeth and Christy Jane, were listed as living with them.6
     Note that they lost two children, Caty (3 years, 3 months, 12 days) and John (i year 1 month) to croup on the same day, March 4, 1886. Caty had been sick for 24 hours and John was only sick for 12 hours.
     In the obituary of Elizabeth McRoberts who died 19 November 1897, his father, Chambers McRoberts was listed as a survivor.14
     Chambers and Annie McRoberts appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Glencoe, Ekfrid Twp., Middlesex County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a Sawyer and a Presbyterian. Their children: William S, Maggie W., David C, Sarah E and Annie B, were listed as living with them.3
     Chambers McRoberts, his father, was referenced, but not by name, in the obituary of William McRoberts, who died 6 January 1910 at Windsor, Essex County, Ontario, Canada.15
     Chambers appeared on the 1916 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces, Saskatchewan, in the household of William Fish and Margaret Fish, listed as a farmer.16
