     He was born on 1 June 1798 at Lincolnshire, England.7,8 George Patchett was christened on 2 June 1798 at North Somercotes, Lincolnshire, England.10 Alternatively, he may have been born circa 1801 at Lincolnshire, England.6 George married Susanna Benton on 13 January 1825 at North Somercotes, Lincolnshire, England.11,12,6

     George Patchett was buried on 18 June 1851 at St. Mary, North Somercotes, Lincolnshire, England.13,14
     The 1841 Census of North Somercotes, County of Lincoln Hundred of South Eske shows a Mary Patchett aged 15 living with Rowland Benton, 70 and his wife Eliz(abe)th aged 60. Since George Patchett was married to Susanna Benton, I am assuming the Benton's were her grandparents, and that Mary was George's and Susanna's daughter.15
     George and Susanna Patchett appeared on the 1841 British Census North Somercotes, at Lincolnshire, England, enumerated 6 June 1841, described as a farmer. Their children Helen and Rowland were listed as living with them.6
