     EDINBURG — Miss Harriett Hagedorn was added this week to the bevy of springtime brides who are keeping society busily entertaining.
     Her marriage to Pvt. Alfred A. Martin was performed Monday night at the Sacred Heart Catholic church with Rev. Fr. P. J. Kennedy officiating.
     Mrs. Martin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Hagedorn, prominent Edinturg family, and bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew A. Martin of Tyler. A former assistant teacher of Agriculture here, he is now in the army veterinary detachment ate Fort Robinson, Nebraska, where they will make their home.
     The church was candlelit for the ceremony. Prior to the entrance of the bridal party, Mrs. C. J. Siegrist played the organ.
     The sanctuary was decorated with bouquets of pastel-tinted larkspur, contrasting gaily with the white vases in which they were arranged.
     The bride,given in marriage by her father, a beige suit and rust and white accessories. Her corsage was fashioned from pink sweetheart roses. As a tal touch, she used her senatenenai grandmother's wedding ring.
     Miss Mary Lou Hagedorn was maid of honor. Her frock was of dusty rose printed pique with which she used white accessories. Her corsage was blue cornflowers.
     Lester Stout attended the bridegroom, and Thomas Hooks was usher. Following the wedding the bridal party was entertained at dinner at the Casa de Palmas hotel, McAllen.
     Prior to her wedding Mrs. Martin was secretary to the Moore Field adjutant. A popular Valley miss, she was widely known as a vocalist having received her training at Our Lady of the Lake college, San Antonio, after graduating from the Edinburg high school and Junior college.
     Private Martin is a graduate of A. & I. college, Kingsville. The newlyweds left Monday night for Nebraska to make their home.4

     Of interest to many persons in Corpus Christi and throughout South Texas comes the announcement of the marriage of Miss Harriett Hagedorn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Hagedorn of Edinburg, to Pvt. Alfred A. Martin, of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew A. Martin of Tyler. The marriage solemnized Monday night at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg with the Rev. Father P. J. Kennedy officiating.
     The bride was given in marriage by her father. Attending her was Miss Lou Hagedorn. Lester Stout attended the bridegroom and Thomas Hooks was usher.
     Following the ceremony the bridal party was entertained with A dinner party de Palmas Hotel in RicKhenCasa.
     The couple left immediately after the dinner for Private Martin's station with the Army veterinary detachment at Fort Robinson. Neb., where they will make their home.
     The bride was formerly secretary to the Moore Field adjutant. She attended Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio following her graduation from the Edinburg High School and Junior College. Private Martin was graduated from the Tyler High School and attended Texas A&M College at College Station for one year. He was graduated from Texas A&I College in Kingsville in 1939 and served as assistant teacher of agriculture in the Edinburg Schools for one year, leaving there for the armed service in July, 1941. While in Texas A&I. Martin was 8 member of Kappa Sigma Nu fraternity, Future Farmers of America, collegiate chapter, and The Aggie Club. He served as student council representative in his junior year and in his senior year was business manager of El Rancho, college yearbook. During the summer term he was business manager of The South Texan, student publication.8

     Following the ceremony the couple left by plane for Havana, Cuba, and on their return to the States will spend some time in New Orleans. They plan to be at their home, 6634 Lindenwood, St. Louis, after February 3.
     Mrs. Kuhn is a graduate of the Madison High School and has a master's degree from the state teachers' college at Kirksville. For several years she was a Monroe County teacher and has been teaching the past four years in St. Louis schools. Mr. Kuhn, son of Mrs. Laura Kuhn of St. Louis, is district cashier for the Royal Typewriter Company of St. Louis, a position he has had the past 18 years.
     Mrs. Kuhn is the sister of Mrs. Linden Farrell, near Madison.7

     Mariam Josephine Kuhn was buried on 18 June 1999 at Valley Memoruial Gardens, McAllen, Hidalgo County, Texas USA.10
     She was the informant on the death registration of her mother, Mariam Louise Hayden, who died on 10 July 1938.11
     In the obituary of Mae Hayden Crim who died 10 July 1938, her daughter, Josephine Crim was listed as a survivor.12

     Miss Josephine Crim, daughter of the late Mrs. Mae Crim, and Eugene F. Kuhn were married at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in the Grace Evangelical Church in South St. Louis with the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Brannon,
     officiating.The bride wore a navy blue flannel suit, navy blue straw hat and red shoes.
     Mr. and Mrs. William Kuhn, brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom, were their attendants.
     Following the ceremony the couple left by plane for Havana, Cuba, and on their return to the States will spend some time in New Orleans. They plan to be at their home, 6634 Lindenwood, St. Louis, after February 3.
     Mrs. Kuhn is a graduate of the Madison High School and has a master's degree from the state teachers' college at Kirksville. For several years she was a Monroe County teacher and has been teaching the past four years in St. Louis schools. Mr. Kuhn, son of Mrs. Laura Kuhn of St. Louis, is district cashier for the Royal Typewriter Company of St. Louis, a position he has had the past 18 years.
     Mrs. Kuhn is the sister of Mrs. Linden Farrell, near Madison.13
She and Eugene F. Kuhn were included on a passenger manifest for a Chicago and Southern Airlines flight from La Babana (sic) (Havana), Cuba dated 30 January 1948 landing at New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA.7
