Clinton, March 2
Raleigh Troxel, one of Wapella's oldest and best known residents, passed away in his home in the village Wednesday night after an illness of several months with cancer of the stomach.

He was 77 years old and had resided in the Wapella community all his life. About 50 years ago he was united in marriage with Martha Malone and three children were born to this union, a son dying at the age of 4 years. The two surviving are Mrs. Guy Nowlin of Wapella, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. James Glenn of Waterloo, Okla. The wife died in 1900. For several years he was a farmer, but retired from active work several years ago.

No arrangements have been made for the funeral.2
