     James was born circa 5 July 1838 in Cromarty, Rossshire, ScotlandG, based upon the age given on his death registration.2,3 Alternatively, he was born circa 1845 in Cromarty, Rossshire, ScotlandG, according to his marriage registration1 or circa 1837 in ScotlandG according to the 1901 census.4 James married Mary Jane Lindsay on 23 March 1875 in Ottawa, Ontario, CanadaG, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 001568.5 He died on 22 March 1918 in Fitzroy Harbor, Torbolton Twp., Carleton County, Ontario, CanadaG, according to Ontario Death Registration 012028.2 James Henry Munro was buried in Whyte's Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbor, Torbolton Twp., Carleton County, Ontario, CanadaG.2,3 The informant on his death registration was his daughter, Florence Munro Mayhew.2

     He provided an affidavit in support of the naturalization of Marjorie May Snelgrove approved on 23 August 1934 in New York, New York, USAG.6
