At 2 o'clock Christmas afternoon Westminster Church was the scene of a quiet but pretty wedding when Helen Marguerite, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Dougan became the bride of Mr. Richard Powell of Medicine Hat, formerly of Manchester, England, the Rev. H, A. McLeod officiating.
The bride, daintily gowned in a frock of mahogany colored lace with matching accessories was attended by her sister, Mrs. Wm. Dunbar of Kinley, Mr. Dunbar supporting the groom.
The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a chest of Community silver and to the attendants a mondine vanity set and a leather wallet.
After the ceremony the happy couple received at the home of the bride's parents where the wedding dinner was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Powell will leave shortly for their new borne in Medicine Hat, Alta.4
