     She was born on 19 November 1883 at Ontario, Canada.^1,2 Alternatively, she may have been born on 13 November 1883 at Manvers Twp., Durham County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Birth Registration 023005. Since her birth was registered by her father on 13 Dec 1883, perhaps he confused the current date with her birth date. You know how men can be.³ Mary married John Arscott Harris on 2 December 1902 at RM of Pembina, Manitoba, Canada.^4,1
     Mary Adelaide Shaw died on 28 October 1973 at Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at age 89.¹ The informant on her death registration was her granddaughter. She was the widow of the late John Arscot (sic) Harris.¹
