Nason circa 26 March 1916 at Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA.8,9,10,11 Perry Harrison Keast and Alphia H. Nason were divorced circa 1920.      Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Keast received a letter a day or so ago from their son Perry at Des Moines, Iowa, which told of his marriage which was to occur, yesterday in Des Moines, Iowa. The bride was formerly Miss Althea Mason (sic) of Iowa City, Iowa, and she came to Des Moines yesterday afternoon with her mother, where the ceremony was performed. Mr. Keast holds a responsible position in a large store in Des Moines, and as soon as his vacation starts, he and his bride will come home for a visit. She is known to the family here. Mr. Keast has been a resident of Des Moines for some time but he has hosts of friends here who will congratulate him. He is a young man of excellent character and has "made good" since beginning his business career.11

She was a supervisor at a telephone company..7 Perry Harrison Keast registered for the "Old Man's" draft on 27 April 1942 at Ford County, Illinois, USA, at the age of 52. He worked in a grocery and appliance store in Gibson City.He listed his next-of-kin/contact person as his wife, Mary Keast. He was described as 5' 6" and 180 lbs. with brown eyes, brown hair and a ruddy complexion. He was missing the end joint of his first finger on his left hand.1 Terry (sic) Keast of Gibson City, Illinois, the bride's uncle,was listed as a guest at the marriage of Donald Bruce Gridley and Jean Keast on 8 November 1947.9
     In the obituary of Janet McMurchy Calhoon who died 5 April 1954, her son, Perry H. Keast, of Gibson City, was listed as a survivor.17 He was identified as the father of Mary Janet Keast born on 14 August 1956 at Iowa City, Iowa, USA.18

     She was born on 24 October 1895 at Rochelle, Ogle County, Illinois, USA.2,3 Helen married Percy M. Keast, at the Lutheran parsonage, on 17 January 1914 at Rockford, Rockford Twp., Winnebago County, Illinois, USA.2,4,5
     Helen Gertrude Keast died on 6 July 1978 at Holy Cross Hospital, Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA, at age 82.1 The informant on her death registration was her daughter, Jean Keast. Her parents were identified as John Dusher and Emily Hardesty. She was a widow, but her husband's name was not given on this certificate.1
     The following article appeared in the DeKalb, Illinois The Daily Chronicle, 24 January 1914 :
ROCHELLE WEDDINGS.
     Rochelle, January 22 Announcement cards areout (sic) for two weddings featuring Rochelle young people as principals, both ceremonies being performed in neighboring cities. Miss Helen G. Dusehr (sic) of Rochelle and Mr. Percy M. Keast of DeKalb were married at the Trinity Luthern (sic) parsonage Rockford, at 10:30 a. m. Saturday, January 17th. and Miss Matilda Dieterle of Sterling and Mr. John Dee of Rochelle were united In marriage at 9 o'clock, Wednesday morning, January 14th, at St Mary's Church Sterling. Rev. H. M. Bannen of Rockford and Father Burns of Sterling were the officiating clergymen.
     Mr. and Mrs. Keast are spending their honeymoon at the home of the bride's sister, Miss Lelah Craumer, in Rockford.
     Mr. and Mrs. Dee will visit Rochelle and Sterling relatives for a short time, after which they expect to reside in Los Angeles, California, where after March 1st, they will receive freinds (sic.)4

     Percy M. and Helen G. Keast appeared on the 1920 U.S. Federal Census of DeKalb, DeKalb County, Illinois, enumerated 2 January 1920, described as a music arranger for a Music Roll Manufacturer. Their children: William R. and Caroline J., were listed as living with them.6
     Percy M. and Helen G. Keast appeared on the 1930 U.S. Federal Census of Elmhurst, DuPage County, Illinois, enumerated 8 April 1930, described as a musician sailsman (sic). Their children: William Ray and Caroline J., were listed as living with them. His mother, Janet McMurchy Calhoon and brother,Perry Harrison Keast were included in the household.5 Mrs. Percy Keast, of Elmhurst, was listed as the mother of the groom in the marriage of Rae Keast and Mary Alice Hart on 21 August 1938.7 Helen G. Keast was listed as next-of-kin/contact on the draft registration of her husband, Percy Marwood Keast.8 Mrs. Perce M. Keast was listed as the mother of the bride in the marriage of Donald Bruce Gridley and Jean Keast on 8 November 1947.9
     In the obituary of Perce M. Keast who died 14 April 1978, his wife, Helen D. Keast, of Austin, was listed as a survivor.10 In the death registration of Perce Marwood Keast who died on 14 April 1978, Helen D. Keast was identified as his wife.8
     In the obituary of William Rae Keast who died 27 June 1998, his mother, Helen Dusher Keast was listed.11
     According to their Find A Grave memorial pages, both Helen and Perce had non-cemetery burials.12
