LOCAL BOY TAKES LEWISTOWN BRIDE
In an Impressive single-ring ceremony at 4 p. m. Sunday in the Methodist church at Lewistown, Ill., Miss Mary Kay Boone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Boone of that city, became the bride of Howard McMillan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McMillan, Sr.. of this city, a gathering of friends and relatives being present. The Rev. L. B. Van Winkle of Onarga officiated.
The bride, a graduate of Lewistown high school and Illinois Wesleyan university, wore white taffeta for her wedding gown with sweetheart neckline, full-gathered sleeves, and bouffant skirt. A shoulder-length veil was held in place by a coronet of white roses. She was given in marriage by her father.**The matron of honor was Mrs. DOnald Duncan of Piqua, o., and Miss.Dorothy Britten of Harvey presided at the organ for the soloist, Miss Barbara Telford of Avon, John R. Stanton of Rockford served as. best man and Lester Werntz of Freeport and Van Dempsey, of . Belvidere were ushers. The wedding was followed by a reception in the parental home of the bride after which the newlyweds left for a short honeymoon. **The new Mrs. McMillan was graduated from Illinois Wesleyan university last-June with degree in music and is now teaching music and commerce in the Onarga township high school. Mr. McMillan was graduated from Belvidere high school in 1937 and from Illinois Wesleyan last June, also with a degree in music. He is now teaching speech and music in the high school at Rantoul, Ill.. While In College the bride became affiliated with Sigma Alpha Iota sorority. Mr. McMillan s fraternity connection is with Phi Mu Alpha, both being national music chapters.11

Miss Mary Kay Boone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Boone of Lewistown, 111., will become the bride of Howard McMillan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McMillan of Belvidere, at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Dec 28, it is announced.
The marriage will be solemnized at the Methodist church at Lewistown, with the Re L. B. Van Kinkle of Onarga, Ill., officiating.
Miss Boone is teacher of music and commerce at Onarga township high school at Onarga. Mr. Millan is teaching music and speech at Rantoul township high school at Rantoul,Ill. He is a Belvidere high school graduate and a former reporter for The Daily Republican. Both were graduated last June from Illinois Wesleyan university at Bloomington, Ill.Attendants at t
he wedding will be Mrs. Donald Duncan of Piqua, O., and John R. Stanton of Rockford.
Van Dempsey of Belvidere and Lester Werntz of Freeport will be the ushers.
Following the marriage ceremony, a reception will be held at the home of the bride, after which the couple will depart by automobile for a brief honeymoon trip.
On their return, the newlyweds will make their home at Rantoul.4

In an Impressive single-ring ceremony at 4 p. m. Sunday in the Methodist church at Lewistown, Ill., Miss Mary Kay Boone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Boone of that city, became the bride of Howard McMillan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McMillan, Sr.. of this city, a gathering of friends and relatives being present. The Rev. L. B. Van Winkle of Onarga officiated.
The bride, a graduate of Lewistown high school and Illinois Wesleyan university, wore white taffeta for her wedding gown with sweetheart neckline, full-gathered sleeves, and bouffant skirt. A shoulder-length veil was held in place by a coronet of white roses. She was given in marriage by her father.**The matron of honor was Mrs. DOnald Duncan of Piqua, o., and Miss.Dorothy Britten of Harvey presided at the organ for the soloist, Miss Barbara Telford of Avon, John R. Stanton of Rockford served as. best man and Lester Werntz of Freeport and Van Dempsey, of . Belvidere were ushers. The wedding was followed by a reception in the parental home of the bride after which the newlyweds left for a short honeymoon. **The new Mrs. McMillan was graduated from Illinois Wesleyan university last-June with degree in music and is now teaching music and commerce in the Onarga township high school. Mr. McMillan was graduated from Belvidere high school in 1937 and from Illinois Wesleyan last June, also with a degree in music. He is now teaching speech and music in the high school at Rantoul, Ill.. While In College the bride became affiliated with Sigma Alpha Iota sorority. Mr. McMillan s fraternity connection is with Phi Mu Alpha, both being national music chapters.1
