     He was born in 1869 or 1870 at Forrester's Falls, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.2,3,4 William married Matilda Jamieson on 19 June 1900 at Ross Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 014661.2 William married Margaret Ann Jamieson on 21 December 1904 at Cobden, Ross Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.3
     William McCaskell died on 28 February 1947 at General Hospital, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.5,1
     William McCaskell was buried on 4 March 1947 at Crossfield Cemetery, Crossfield, Alberta, Canada.5,1
     In 1906,William and Margaret moved from Ontario to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.1

     William and Margret McCasckill appeared on the 1931 Canadian Census of Alberta, Township 28, enumerated 1 June 1931. William was described as a farmer on a mixed farm. The household also included his mother, Margaret McCaskill, a sister, Rose McCasckill, and three brothers, Jack, Donald and Hael (unsure of third letter.)4
     In the obituary of Margaret McCaskill who died 5 August 1943, her husband, William McCaskell, was listed as a survivor.6
     The following obituary appeared in the newspaper the Calgary Herald published in Calgary, Alberta 3 March 1947:
William McCaskill
     William McCaskill. 78. of Crossfleld. died Friday In the General hospital. Rev. J. V. Howey will officiate at services In the Crossfield United church Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be In the Crossfleld cemeteiy.
     Mr. McCaskill was born In Forrester's Falls, Ont. He came to Calgary in 1906 and moved to the Crossfield district In 1919.
     Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. J. R. Thacker of Ottawa. Mrs. C. Lamont of of Saskatoon and Rose McCaskill of Crossfield; five brothers, John. Donaid. Georie. Horace and Robert, all of Crossfield.
     Gooder Bros, funeral home is in charge.1
