Oct. 27, 1879 is probably a more accurate date of death for Elizabeth that the 1884 date given on the death registration record submitted by her brother-in-law, John A Jamieson on Dec 31, 1885. This was the same date that he registered the death of his father, William.
The 1881 census shows that her husband, Robert was a widower and her sister, Rebecca was a servant in the household.
Robert and Rebecca were married on April 11, 1884 and he was shown as a widower on the marriage registration.3,5,6

She was born on 24 July 1869, possibly in Admaston Twp. where her parents resided, at Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Birth Registration 007718 which gives her surname as Edward, but her father is identified as Francis Edwards on the signature line.1,6,4,5 Alternatively, she may have been born circa 1865 at United Province of Canada according to the 1930 census9; or, in 1872 at Canada according to the 1920 census. In this census she was reported to have immigrated in 1883 and she was a naturalized citizen. However the year of her becoming a citizen appears to be 1877 or possibly 1817. Perhaps it was 1917.8 Marion married Jonathan A. Hively in 1912.10,7,8
Marion Hively died on 2 July 1939 at Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, USA, at age 69.3,7

Marion Edwards appeared on the 1900 U.S. Federal Census of Drayton, Pembina County, North Dakota, in the household of Francis Edwards, and she was listed as a housekeeper.5
John and Mary Hively appeared on the 1920 U.S. Federal Census of McKenzie County, North Dakota, enumerated circa 26 January 1920, described as a farmer. Their household included 3 adult sons by his earlier marriage, and a young niece, Lillian Hively.8
Jonathan and Marion Hively appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, enumerated 15 April 1930, described as a laborer on a ranch and she was a practical nurse.. Their daughter, Lillian P., was listed as living with them. She immigrated from Canada in 1923. He was 48 and she was 38 at the time of their first marriages, so who was her first husbnad.9
