My initial reading of Martha's obituary seemed to indicate her maiden name was Gardner, but her marriage registraation shows her full name was Martha Gardner Robson. Since she was a spinster, Gardner was not her maiden name, or from a previous marriage. One of the witnesses on the marriage registration was Richard Gardner Robson, her brother. Perhaps their mother's maiden name was Gardner.4
