     WOODLAWN — Tuesday the funeral of Courtney Milne was held at the home of his brother, J. G. Milne at Woodlawn. Mr. Milne was born in Huron County, Ont., in 1888 and came to the Woodlawn district with his father and brother in 1905. Later he took up land in the Smiley district. In 1915 he married Miss Olga Fredrickson of Kandahar. In 1918 they moved to B.C., settling near Cloverdale. Mr. Milne passed away from pneumonia at Timmins, Ont., on July 17.
     Rev. Albert Cousins of Asquith conducted the service with Mrs. H. Negus presiding at the organ. Surviving widow, son Gordon, and daughter, Marie, three sisters, Mrs. Graham, and Miss Eva Milne, Saskatoon, and Mrs. W. L. Fitzpatrick, Fairfax, Man., and four brothers, J. G. Milne, Woodlawn (in Delisle district), W. J. Milne, Kalispell, Montana, D. L. Milne, Summerland, B.C., and Rev. R. G. Milne, Vancouver, B.C. Interment was made in the Avondale cemetery.5
