     Joseph Rorke was described as Notary Public, land and general agent; Captain 31st Regiment; Warden Grey County 1876; Reeve of Tp. present in 1880.12
     Joseph and Susan Rorke appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, enumerated 4 April 1881. Joseph was described as a Presbyterian Canada and a Notary Public. Their children, Sarah E W, Lillian V, Herbert V., Ada M, Joseph A and Susan L, were listed as living with them.6
     Joseph and Jane M. Rorke appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a Presbyterian and a Farmer. Their children: Ada M, Jan I., Joseph A and Susan D, were listed as living with them.7,5

     In the obituary of Christina Rorke who died 3 May 1926, her husband, Richard Rorke was listed as predeceased.11
     The following analysis is from my personal research and reflects my attempts to consolidate information from different sources.
I have chosen July 1840 as his primary (most likely) birth date since it is consistent with him being 37 when he married, and 64 when he died.12

     Edward Rorke died on 21 July 1925 at Alice Street, Thornbury, Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada, at age 79 according to Ontario Death Registrration 014878.8,5 The informant on his death registration was his son, B F Rorke.5 The cause of his death was given as uremia and cystitis.5
     Edward Rorke was buried on 29 July 1925 at Thornbury-Clarksburg Union Cemetery, Thornbury, Collingwood Twp., Grey County, Ontario, Canada.5,7
