A farmer of the Cordova Man . district for many years, Andrew Al!an, aged 79, died at the residence of his son, J. W. Allan, 4114 Roseberry st., St. James, Sunday.
Born in Kilwinning. Scotland, Mr Allan came to Canada in 1899 settling on the farm near Cordova, which he continued to operate until about four years ago when he moved to St. James to live with his son.
His wife predeceased him in 1927. He is survived by five sons, J. W. Allan in St. James; John. Lacadena, Sask; Harry, St. Walburg, 5ask; Archibald, Asquith, Sask; and Charles, Spruce Lake, Sask; and four daughters, Mrs. P. Murchie, Scotland; Mrs J. E. Souston (sic), Asquith, Sask; and Mrs. J. Witter and Mrs. J. McKee, of Cordova, Man.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the A. B. Gardiner funeral chapel to the family plot in Brookside cemetery. Rev. H. B Duckworth will be the clergyman in charge.
