Hansen - Gienow
Arnprior First Baptist Church was attractively adorned with Fall flowers, and gladioli for the charming wedding ceremony yesterday when Miss Mildred Gienow, of Balgonie, Sask., became the bride of Arthur Hansen, of Chicago, Ill. Rev. A. E. [J]aster, pastor of the church, officiated. Miss Hilda Kaufeldt, as organist, furnished the music.
The young couple were attended by Miss Florence Nieman, of Arnprior, as bridesmaid, and by Edgar Burke, of the same town, as best man.
The bride was charmingly attired in a smartly tailored navy blue sheer crepe gown, trimmed with satin, and fashioned on regal lines, with a shoulder knot of roses, pansies, and maiden hair fern. She wore a chic Parisian model, navy felt hat. Navy suede shoes and matching accessories completed her costume.
The bridesmaid chose a tailored gown of rust with touches of brown velvet. Hat, shoes and accessories were in matching tones of brown. She wore a diamond bracelet, a gift of the bride.
A wedding supper was served in the parish hall, attended by more than 100 friends of the newly-weds.
Mr. and Mrs. Hansen, left later for Ottawa and left on an extended tour of the west, including a visit to the home of the bride's parents, at Balgonie.
The bride travelled in a smart black tunic model suit with matching black accessories.
On their return the newly-weds will reside in Chicago.
Among the numerous out-of-town vistors was Miss Florence Hansen, sister of the bridegroom.12
