Margaret married Herman Kuhl on 28 February 1899 in Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, according to Ontario Marriage Registration 013926. I assume that the Chas Zummach who witnessed this marriage was her father-in-law by her first marriage. She was the widow of his son Carl.21,22,23,11,17,5
     The following information is extracted from her obituary.24 She died on 21 February 1928 in Killaloe, Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 63 according to Ontario Death Registration 030116.8,9,16 The informant on her death registration was Rev H Helwig. Her parents were identified as Louis Gietz and Augusta Voth.9 Margaret Gietz was buried in Emmanuel (aka Immanuel) Baptist Cemetery, Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG.25,26

     Her name was also recorded as Maggie Getz on her daughter Florence's birth registration.27 She also went by the name of Maggie Yetts on her marriage registration.28,10 Her name was also recorded as Margaret Yetts according to her daughter Eddey's birth registration.29,30 She was listed as a witness to the marriage of A Beker and Mary Ann Yetts on 27 October 1884 in Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario.31,32,30,7,33,34,35 Margaret Gietz was a survivor of her husband Carl who died in 1896.36

     Carl Zummack and Maggie appeared on the 1891 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 6 April 1891. Carl was enumerated as a farmer and a Baptist. Their children Ellen, Leda, Earnest and Carl were listed as living with them. As were his parents, Carl Zummack and Mena Zummack and siblings, Mina Zummack and Frederick Zummack.15
     Maggie Kauhl and Herman Kauhl appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, listed as a Baptist and a Farmer. Their daughter Flaurence was listed as living with them. As was his wife's widowed father-in-law by her first marriage, Charlie Summach. Mary E Kauhl, Ledie A Kauhl, Ernest B Kauhl, Charlie L Kauhl and John D Kauhl were children of her first marriage, but they were listed with Herman's surname.17

     John was born on 26 November 1827 in Germany according to the 1901 census.5,4 Alternatively, he was born in October 1827 in Ravenstein, Kreis Saatzig, Pommern, Germany (modern Poland)G. He was christened on 12 November 1827.6,7 John married Albertine Klatt circa 1854 in Germany.8,3,9 John married Minnie Caroline Schroeder circa 1868.10,6,5 The informant on his death registration was his son, Charles Kuehl. His parents were identified as Fred Kuehl and Louisa Luloff.4 He died on 7 February 1922 in Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 94.4 John Gottlieb Kuehl was buried on 9 February 1922 with no stone, possibly in Immanuel Baptist Cemetery in Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.4
     He also went by the name of Gottlieb Kihl according to the 1901 census.9,5
     Godparents were Friedrich Luloff, Friedrich Vollmer, and Christian Kuëhl.

Left for Canada after grandfather, David, died. Sailed from Hamburg on April 17, 1868 aboard the "Shakespeare". He travelled with his new wife, Caroline Schroeder, and two children from his first marriage. They arrived in Quebec City on May 26, 1868. They first settled in North Algona Township of Renfrew County, but bought land in Hagarty Township on October 10, 1872.

Buried in the Immanuel Baptist Cemetery in Hagarty Township, with no stone.6,7 He immigrated on 17 April 1868 to Canada from Germany.5
     G Kuhl was recorded as father of the bride at the marriage of William Verch and Guste Kuhl on 2 July 1885; according to Ontario Marriage Registration 010425.11
     Gottlb Kuhl was recorded as the father of the bridegroom at the marriage of Alexander Kuhl and Mary Becker on 2 October 1902.12

The informant was William Küehl Sr.7
     Carl Friedrich Kuehl and Charlotte Luise Wilhelmine Kruëger immigrated on 17 April 1866 to Canada Sailed from Hamburg aboard the "Eugenia" on April 17, 1866. Their destination was supposed to be Quebec City, but they arrived in New York on June 6, 1866. They travelled with Carl and Ernestine Hein and cousin Ernestine Luloff.1 Frederick Kühl was father of the bridegroom at the marriage of Ferdinand Kühl and Minnie Hein on 8 July 1883 in Lyndoch Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada; according to Ontario Marriage Registration 010894.8,5

     Ernestine was born on 28 July 1839 in Ravenstein, Kreis Saatzig, Pommern, Germany (modern Poland)G, died at the age of 52 years, 5 days.3,4,5,6,7 Ernestine married Carl Friedrich Hein in 1863.2,1,6,7 She died on 1 August 1891 in Grattan Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 52 according to Ontario Death Registration 014167. Some sources give her palce of death as Augsburg. The informant was Charles Hines.4,3,5,6 Ernestine Emilie Kuehl was buried in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery (Old), Augsburg, South Algona Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.5
     Her name was also recorded as Ernestina Hynes on her death registration, although her husband's surname is given as Hines.6 She and Carl Friedrich Hein immigrated in 1866 to Canada Sailed from Hamburg aboard the "Eugenia" on April 17, 1866.      Minnie was born on 13 February 1841 in Germany based upon her given age of 91 years, 11 months and 3 days at the time of her death.2,3,1 Alternatively, she was born on 11 February 1840 in Germany according to the 1901 census.4 Minnie married John Gottlieb Kuehl circa 1868.5,6,4 She died on 16 January 1933 in Hagarty Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 91 according to Ontario Death Registration 028986.3,2,1 The informant on her death registration was her stepson, Charles Kuehl. Her parents were identified as John Schroeder.1 Minnie Caroline Schroeder was buried on 18 January 1933 in Emmanuel (aka Immanuel) Baptist Cemetery, Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, CanadaG, with no stone.3,2,1
     She immigrated in 1868 to Canada from Germany.4
     C Kuhl was recorded as mother of the bride at the marriage of William Verch and Guste Kuhl on 2 July 1885; according to Ontario Marriage Registration 010425.7
     Minnie Schruder was recorded as the mother of the bridegroom at the marriage of Alexander Kuhl and Mary Becker on 2 October 1902.8 Minnie Caroline Kuehl was a survivor of her husband Gotlip who died in 1922.9
