The bride entered with her brother, Donald Stewart, and was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of Georgette crepe over white silk. Her veil was caught with orange blossoms. She held a shower bouquet of Ward roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Gertrude Stewart was her sister's maid of honor. She worn a gown of white organdie draped in yellow with a hat to match and held a colonial bouquet of Ward roses and forgetmenots (sic). Peggy Call, flower girl was in a frock of whlte organdie and held a banket of sweetheart roses and forgetmenots. G. Frederick Lohman was beat man. Miss Adair McRae, a cousin of the bride, sang.
A small reception followed the service at the home of the bride's parents for the relatives and a few immediate friends. Red and white peonies decorated the rooms. Ward roses were used in the dining room. Mr. Maitland and his bride have gone on a trip to Detroit, Mich. They will be at home after Aug 1 at 3124 Hennepin av. Miss Wishropp was graduated from the University of Michigan in 1924 and since then has been assistant custodian for Regent William I Clements' Americana collection at the Clements' library at the University of Michigan.
Miss Margaret Trainer, of Clarksburg, W. Va., who was Miss Wishropp's roommate at the university, will be her only attendant and the best man will be her brother, Dr. Edward Wishropp, of Detroit. After a four weeks' wedding trip to California, Dr. and Mrs. Maitland will take up their residence In Detroit.2

In Paolo, Kan., a home wedding of beautiful appointments, which is of interest to many in Port Huron took place Wednesday when Dr. Gordon Renwick Maitland, of Detroit, son of Mrs. Henry Maitland of this city, took as his bride, Miss Frieda Hermine Wishropp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Wishropp, of Paola. Rev. M. O. Falls, of the Paolo First Presbyterian church, performed the ceremony at seven-thirty o'clock.
The bride was attractive in a Lelong gown of orchid pink transparent velvet, fashioned with an uneven hemline and two long panels, falling from the shoulders in back. She carried a shower bouquet of bridal roses and valley lilies. Miss Margaret Trainer, a college room-mate of the bride, attended as bridesmaid and wore a gown of deep rose crepe, heavily-beaded in crystal. Miss Marian Pollman. a cousin of the bride. played the wedding music. She wore a period dress of orchid taffeta. Dr. Edward Wishropp, a brother of the bride, served Dr. Maitland as best man.
A wedding reception and dance for the bridal party and 100 guests was held at the Paolo Country club. Mr. Harold Hill, of Port Huron, was among the out of town guests at the wedding.
Dr. Maitland and his bride are enjoying a month's trip through the West and will return to Detroit to make their home. Dr. Maitland, a graduate of the University of Michigan, is a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma and Delta Sigma Delta fraternities. After a year as instructor in the oral surgery school of the University of Tennessee, Dr. Maitland went to Detroit where his is practicing. His bride, also a graduate of the University of Michigan, has been assistant to the curator of Clements library in Ann Arbor.1
