William Renwick died on 11 March 1875 at United Counties of Durham and Northumberland, Ontario, Canada, according to Ontario Death Registration 005820. The informant was Dr. Renwick.6,3 The cause of his death was given as vaviola malifence after 5 days.6

Their children, William, Herbert, John, Thomas, Catherine, Sarah, Agness and Mary, were listed as living with them.2 William Renwick was the informant on the death registration of his father, Herbert Renwick, who died on 31 August 1869.7

In the obituary of Catharine Gardiner (sic) Renwick who died 23 January 1899, her husband, W. Renwick was listed as predeceased.12

Two of the children of William and Catharine, Agnes Wightman and William, died within days of his death. Their deaths were all registered on August 24th, 1875 by Dr. Renwick. They all shared the same cause of death.8

William and Catharine Renwick appeared on the 1871 Canadian Census of Clarke Twp., Durham County, Ontario, enumerated 2 April 1871. William was described as a farmer and a C(anadian?) Presby(terian). Two of the children of William and Catharine, Agnes Wightman and William, died within days of his death. Their deaths were all registered on August 24th, 1875 by Dr. Renwick. They all shared the same cause of death.17

He gave his age as 21, the same as his sister Janet when they arrived in New York in 1835. She was born Dec 23, 1913 and other sources give his birthdate as Dec 24th, but in 1816.5; or, on 24 December 1816 at Johnstone by Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.
