SEED--STEEL
Thursday, at the United Church at 2.30 o'clock. Miss Elizabeth Emma Steel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Steel. Lumsden. became the bride of Alfred (sic) Percy Seed, son cf Mr., and Mrs. Johnson (sic) Seed, Tregarva, by a ceremony performed by Rev. R. Carruthers.

The bride, who was given away by her father, entered the church to the strains of the "Lohengrin" Wedding March played by Mrs Morrice. Her dress was of white taffeta trimmed with silk lace- She wore a. bridal veil and wreath of orange blossom and carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses. Miss Marjory Steel sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a dress of blue shot taffeta and hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Fred Kirkpatrick, Craven, was best man. The ushers were Melburn Steel, brother of the bride, and Ivan Seed, cousin of the groom.

About 35 guests attended the reception at the home of the bride. The couple received many wedding gifts. The bride has lived in Lumsden since her childhood, and the groom has always been a resident of the Tregarva district. During the signing of the register, Mrs. Lucas played a violin solo. The couple left for Saskatoon amid showers of. confetti. The bride travelled In an embroidered grey crepe dress with brown needle-point coat and hat to match. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Seed will reside on their farm at Tregarva.2

     Mrs. Percy Seed, (Emma) co-hostess, was referenced in an article about the bridal shower for Kathleen Rennick published on 22 October 1929 at the newspaper The Leader-Post.5
