     The following obituary appeared in the weekly newspaper The Dearborn County Register published in Lawrenceburg, Indiana 9 September 1926 :
Mrs. John Beck, well known in the vicinity of Logan, died at her home near that place at 6:15am Monday morning after a lengthy illness of tuberculosis.

Mrs. Beck is survived by her husband, two sons, Charles of Aurora, Roy, who lives at home, and three daughters, Mrs. James Glenn of Homestead, Mrs. Walter Huddleston of Cincinnati and Mrs. Clendus Massett of Logan.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bright Chirstian church. Burial in Gibson Cemetery.8
