After moving to Winnipeg in 1950, Mr. and Mrs. Mayhew celebrated their Diamond Anniversary, with all but one of the family present. Wires of con-gratulation were received from the Queen, Prime Minister and Premier of Manitoba as well as from many relatives and friends. There were at that time thirteen grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren. In 1960 the Mayhews moved to Calgary to live with Lillian and Arthur. Mrs. Mayhew died in 1962, aged eighty-six, and her husband a few months before his one hundreth (sic) birthday.
