Betts—Sanderson
     The marriage of Miss Lois Ethelyn Sanderson, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Sanderson, to Lieut. Clayton Herbert Betts, R.C.A., son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Betts, took place Saturday afternoon in McLeod Street United church with Rev. Dr. A. E. M. Thomson officiating. Miss Luella Mitchell accompanied the soloist, Miss Gwendolyn Smart.
     Mrs. J. F. Beveridge attended the as matron of honor, and the bridesmaid was Miss Phyllis B. Merrill. Mr. Lloyd Betts was the best man, and the ushers were Sgt. Herbert Betts and L.A.C. Warren Sanderson.
     Mr. Sanderson gave his daughter in marriage and she wore a white crepe floor-length gown, styled with inserts of embossing. The same design was carried out in her long veil which was arranged with a with same long a calot of orange blossoms. She carried a cascade bouquet of white Hill roses and white gladioli.
     Following the reception at the home of the bride's parents, the couple left for the Laurentians and will live in Ottawa. Travelling, Mrs. Betts wore a chartreuse green sheer wool dress with a brown felt hat a corsage bouquet of Joanna roses.
     Out-of-town guests were Miss Margaret Dibblee of Westmount, Mr. James McCann and Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Williams of Hamilton, Lieut. Kenneth Hodges of Regina, and Mr. and Mrs. R. Langdon of Kingston.1

Betts—Sanderson
     The marriage of Miss Lois Ethelyn Sanderson, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Sanderson, to Lieut. Clayton Herbert Betts, R.C.A., son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Betts, took place Saturday afternoon in McLeod Street United church with Rev. Dr. A. E. M. Thomson officiating. Miss Luella Mitchell accompanied the soloist, Miss Gwendolyn Smart.
     Mrs. J. F. Beveridge attended the as matron of honor, and the bridesmaid was Miss Phyllis B. Merrill. Mr. Lloyd Betts was the best man, and the ushers were Sgt. Herbert Betts and L.A.C. Warren Sanderson.
     Mr. Sanderson gave his daughter in marriage and she wore a white crepe floor-length gown, styled with inserts of embossing. The same design was carried out in her long veil which was arranged with a with same long a calot of orange blossoms. She carried a cascade bouquet of white Hill roses and white gladioli.
     Following the reception at the home of the bride's parents, the couple left for the Laurentians and will live in Ottawa. Travelling, Mrs. Betts wore a chartreuse green sheer wool dress with a brown felt hat a corsage bouquet of Joanna roses.
     Out-of-town guests were Miss Margaret Dibblee of Westmount, Mr. James McCann and Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Williams of Hamilton, Lieut. Kenneth Hodges of Regina, and Mr. and Mrs. R. Langdon of Kingston.1

     In the obituary of Lois Ethelyn Betts who died 30 June 1999, her husband, Clayton H. Betts, was listed as a survivor.4
