     He was born on 18 April 1916, at Section 17, Township 35, Range 9, West of the 3rd Meridian, at RM of Loganton, Saskatchewan, Canada, where the Summach farm is located.1,10,11,6,4,12,8,9 Emerson married Joyce Lorraine Hambly on 6 June 1941 at Asquith, RM of Vanscoy No. 345, Saskatchewan, Canada.1,3,13,5,4
     Emerson Hilton Summach died on 24 February 1964 at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, at age 47 at home.1,3,14,5 The cause of his death was a heart attack.15
     The following selected information is extracted from the obituary of Emerson Hilton Summach.
     Emerson Hilton Summach was buried on 26 February 1964 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.16,17
     His name was recorded as Emmerson Hilton Summach on his birth registration.6
     He was commonly known as Em.14
     He appeared on the 1916 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces RM of Loganton, Saskatchewan in the household of his parents, Fredrich and Ester Summack (sic).1218

     In circa 1920, Emerson, Muriel and Delbert were included in a family photograph in which Mom (Estelle) identified the children in the doorway as Emerson, Delbert and Muriel about 1920.19

     Emerson Summach appeared in the 1921 Canadian Census of RM of Loganton, Saskatchewan in the household of his parents, Frederick and Esther Summach.8
     Emerson Summach appeared in the 1931 Canadian Census of RM of Loganton, Saskatchewan in the household of his parents, Frederick and Esther Summach.920

Emerson Hilton Summach was visiting his grandfather Fred Krieger (spelled as Kruger in the related news clipping) on 30 September 1937 at Palmer Rapids, Raglan Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.22,23
     Aunt Shirley confirmed he went to Ontario and worked "in Killaloe at Dad`s sister`s store (Annie Boland.)15,23" Hewas Best Man in the marriage of George Henry Seymour andMuriel Beulah Summach on 27 November 1940.24
     Uncle Ken remembers that he worked at a GM assembly plant in Regina during the war. That is where he developed his skills as a machinist.2526

     In the obituary of Mrs. Fred Summack (sic) who died 26 June 1945, her son, Emmerson Summack (sic) was listed as a survivor.27
     According to the Canadian Patents Database Emerson Summach and Harvey Summach were listed as the inventors of the Land Packer described in patent CA 522495; and Kenneth F. Summach was listed as "owner." It was issued on Mar 6, 1956 and expired on Mar 6, 1973.
     In a later application, Harvey's name was removed from the patent. I am not privy to details leading up to this change.28

     In the obituary of Frederick Summach who died 19 January 1972, his son, Emerson Summach, was listed as predeceased.7

     Uncle Em was an inductee into the Saskatchewan Agriculture Hall of Fame in 1990 according to their web site at .
