Married
McCORKILL—TEBOW---At the residence of George Tebow, near Delavan, Kans., on Wednesday, March 7, at high noon, Mr. Thos. H. McCorkill to Miss Flora Tebow. The wedding was a quiet, home affair, and only a few neighbors and friends were invited. After the ceremony by a former pastor, Rev. E. 0. Raymond, who was assisted by Rev. T. P. Henry, a most bounteous dinner was served. Nothing was left undone to make the occasion complete and enjoyable in the extreme. Mr. Tebow is an old settler in Grand View township, and by dint of honest effort and persistent perseverance, seconded by his good wife, have made for themselves a nice stock farm of a half section and a pleasant and hospitable home. They have raised quite a family of children, who rise to call them blessed. The only sad part of this occasion is to see this grand old Methodist home divided, as one by one they are won by the arts of life's wooing, and step out of the home seat to try their fortunes in the world for themselves. May the blessings of the home and many friends attend the children and abundant success crown their every effort.5

The following obituary appeared in the newspaper the Medford Mail Tribune published in Medford, Oregon 23 October 1941:
Chester Booth, Medco Worker, Drowns In Pond
Chester Mack Booth, 27-year- old pondman, lost his life by drowning in the Medford Corporation's mill pond shortly after 6 p. m. Wednesday despite efforts of his fellow workers and two city firemen to resuscitate him by means of artificial respiration.
Booth, according to state po lice and the coroners office, apparently slipped off soma logs he was rounding up in the pond and fell into the water. Severe bruises on his forehead and above his right eye indicated that his head struck a log as he slipped, and it was the belief that he was knocked unconscious and was drowned before he regained consciousness.
Immediately after Booth was taken from the water Delbert Boyd, mill employ and Henry Doney, another pondsman, started artificial respiration and continued until George Shreeve and Hiram Martin, city firemen, arrived with an inhalator. Artificial respiration was rendered for about 45 minutes before Booth was pronounced dead by two physicians who had been called to the sceen.
The exact time Booth slipped from the logs was not determined, as none of the other workers saw him fall into the water. The first they knew of his disappearance was when they noticed his pike pole laying across some logs.
Doney, who was feeding the slip that transfers the logs from the pond to the log chain, located Booth with his own pole, and jumping in the five-feet of water he brought the victim to the surface. Also at the scene was Doug Smith, a sawyer, and he and Boyd aided Doney in taking Booth to shore.
Booth, who had been working for Medford Corporation since September 1 and who resided on the Old Stag road, is survived by his wife, Phylis; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L, D. Booth of Central Point a brother, Henry and sister, Anna, both at home, and another sister, Mrs. Fanny Lacey, also of Central Point.
The body is at Conger's. Time of funeral service will be announced later.3
