Beneficiaries included his second wife, Elizabeth Hendry, his step-daughters, Alice and Adeline Roberts, and his daughters, Frances Lebeck and Mary Ann Hendry, with the residue to his son, George Hendry.⁶ Mrs. F. Ayers, (the groom's sister, Mary Ann), was listed as a witness to the marriage of George W. Hendry and Violet V. Ayers on 23 December 1914.⁷

     Frances Caroline Lebeck is referenced in my analysis of John H. Hendry and John Hendry on 29 September 2024; I initially recorded John H. Hendry and John Hendry as one person, but John H. Hendry's sister's 1945 obituary includes him as a survivor, so John Hendry, who died in 1906 must be a different individual.¹⁴

1851, this family were in Oakbank. 1870-1871, David was in Panlands. 1881, in Panlands were a James, Margaret and David Halliday with their cousin, Peter and listed in Valuation Rolls as representatives of Mrs Halliday there. By 1893-4, is the above Christopher in the farm ?⁴

In 1881, Ninian, his wife and William were in Princes St. in Lochmaben - William was recorded as an umemployed Sugar planter - by the time his father died, he was in a place called Esthwaite in Lochmaben.¹
