Groom Enlists in R.C.A.F. and His Bride Will Live at Hamilton
A quiet wedding was solemnized in the Heathcote parsonage at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon when Edna Marguerite, second daughter of Mr. George Vamplew, Hamilton, and the late Vamplew, and Mr. Glenn Jenkins, only son of Mrs. Jenkins and the late Bailiff Vaughan Jenkins, Clarksburg, were married. Rev. A. A. Jenner, pastor of Heathcote United Church, performed the ceremony, The couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson, Clarksburg.
The bride was attired in Heaven blue georgette and carried an arm bouquet of bluish pink Rapture roses. Mrs. Wilson, sister of the bride, who was celebrating her birthday anniversary, was attired in Queen's Blue georgette and wore a corsage of pink carnations.
After signing the church register, the bridal party returned to the home of the groom's mother for luncheon, leaving shortly after for Hamilton and thence on a short wedding trip. The groom has enlisted in the R.C.A.F. and reports on April 26th for training at Lachine, Quebec. The bride will continue to reside in Hamilton.8
