Renfrew, Ont., Aug. 24--

Rev. H. R. Pickup, assisted by Dr. H. E. Horne, conducted the services at the funeral of Mrs. Wm. Hazelton, which was held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. G. Neil, Patrick Street, to Renfrew cemetery where interment took place.

Mrs. Hazelton, formerly Catherine McInnes, was born in McNab Township, 83 years ago, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Angus McInnes, of Glasgow, Scotland and for the past 60 years has been a prominent resident of Renfrew.

A great number of friends and relatives at her funeral as well as banks of beautiful flowers testified to the wide circle of friends Mrs. Hazelton had made during her residence in Renfrew. The members of the Ladies' Aid of the Presbyterian Church, of which she had been a devoted member for many years, showed their appreciation of her long and self-sacrificing devotion to her duties in the society by the beautiful offerings sent.

Mrs. Hazelton is survived by six daughters and three sons. Mrs. W. G. Neil, of Renfrew; Mrs. Agnes Armstrong, of Toronto; Mrs. H. R. McQuade, Ottawa; Mrs. J.      Peter McMillan died on 1 February 1907 at Renfrew, Horton Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada, at age 75 according to Ontario Death Registration 027017.

Note that John reported his father was married, but I cannot find a record of him remarrying after the death of Marion in 1901. Perhaps this is not the right death registration for this Peter McMillan.. The informant was John McMillan.6 The cause of his death was given as "dropsy consequent in valvular disease of the heart."6
     His name was also recorded as Peter McMillen.4,5,7 Peter McMillan, of McNab township, was listed as a witness to the marriage of David Carswell Jr and Elizabeth McInnes on 24 November 1874.8
     Peter and Marion McMillan appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of McNab Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a farmer and a Presbyterian. Their children: Peter and John, were listed as living with them.1 Peter McMillan was the informant on the death registration of Marion McInnes.3,4,5
