     He was also known as Philip Valker according to the 1901 census.⁴ He immigrated with his father, Johann Walker and Eva Schick in 1899 to Canada from Germany (or Austria.)^7,4
     Philip Valker appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of RM of Westbourne, Manitoba in the household of his parents, John and Eva Valker, and he was listed as a farmer's son.⁴
     He appeared on the 1906 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces Manitoba in the household of his parents, John and Eva Walker.⁵
     In the obituary of Adam Walker who died 17 March 1971, his brother, Philip Walker, was listed as predeceased.²

     He was born on 25 December 1858 at Germany according to the 1901 census.³ Alternatively, he may have been born on 16 February 1858 a part of the Hapsburg or Austrian emplire (now in modern Poland), at Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria according to biographical information on his Find A Grave memorial page²; or, circa 1857 at Austria since he was 48 in the 1906 census.⁴ Johann married Eva Schick on 11 November 1880 at Reichau Luterhan Church, Reichau, Austria.^1,2,3,4

     John and Eva Valker appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of RM of Westbourne, Manitoba, enumerated 31 March 1901. Their children: Jake, Philip, Lena, Kate, Lily, John and Adam, were listed as living with them.³
     John and Eva Walker appeared on the 1906 Census of Canadian Prairie Provinces, Manitoba, Plumas Post Office, enumerated 5 July 1906. Their children Phillip, Lena, Catherine, Mena, John, Adam, Charlie and Caroline were listed as living with them.⁴
