     Solomon McCargar died on 16 April 1912 at Muskoka District, Ontario, Canada, at age 81 of a paralytic stroke according to Ontario Death Registration 020330.^2,1
     Survivors that I have not yet identifed were: Mrs. F. McPherson of Moose Jaw, Mrs. Hill of Sault St. Marie, and Walter, of the West.⁹

Solomon was described as a shoemaker, and of Irish origin. Their children, Jane Anne, Joseph, Solomon, William, Eliza, George A. and Ester C., were listed as living with them. He was listed as Episcopal Methodist / Methodist Episcopal. Susanna McCarger who was a widow and included in the household may have been his mother.³
     Soloman and Charlotte McCargar appeared on the 1901 Canadian Census of Muskoka and Parry Sound District, Ontario, enumerated 31 March 1901, described as a shoemaker and a Methodist. The household of his grandson, Solomon Scott was enumerated on the same page of the census.⁵

     In the obituary of Charlotte Isabella Patterson who died 13 October 1930, her husband, Solomon McCargar was listed as predeceased.⁸ In the death registration of Joseph Abner McCargar, who died on 15 September 1946, Solomon McCargar was identified as his father.¹⁰

     Charlotte Isabella McCarger died on 13 October 1930 at Utterson, Stephenson Twp., Muskoka District, Ontario, Canada, at age 97 according to Ontario Death Registration 024483. The informant was Mrs. Albert Tibble (sic).⁴
      The informant on her death registration was her daughter, Mrs. Albert Tibble (sic).⁴ The cause of her death was given as double pnemonia according to her obituary.³

Their children Thelma, Lois, William, Robert, Frank and Margarite were listed as living with them.⁴ Mrs. Frank Lockwood, of Moose Jaw, was listed as the mother of the bride in the marriage of Frank Cartwright and Thelma Lockwood on 31 July 1926.⁹
     Mary Elizabeth Tilden was referenced, but not by name, in the obituary of her husband, George Franklin Lockwood, who died 22 January 1939.¹⁰
