     The following information is from my (Rick Moffat's) personal research, 24 August 1875 :
; Two of the children of William and Catharine, Agnes Wightman and William, died within days of his death. Their deaths were all registered on August 24th, 1875 by Dr. Renwick. They all shared the same cause of death.⁶

The informant was Dr. Renwick.¹ The cause of his death was given as vaviola malifence after 13 days.¹ Alternatively, he died on 6 April 1875 at age 16 according to his grave marker.⁴

     He was born on 19 September 1819 at Scotland.^3,5,4 John married Rachel Steel Mathews before 1852.^6,3,4
     John Renwick died on 9 June 1901 at Newcastle, Clarke Twp., Durham County, Ontario, Canada, at age 81 of apoplexy according to Ontario Death Registration 020476. He was listed as married and a gentleman.⁵
     John and Ratchel Renwick appeared on the 1861 United Province of Canada Census of Clarke Twp., Durham County, Canada West, enumerated 14 January 1861. John was described as a yoeman. Their children, Herbert, Elizabeth, Mary and Sarah, were listed as living with them. Based upon their close proximity in this census, I assume that John is the son of Herbert Renwick. Ages given were for their next birthday.³
     John Renwick was referenced in the following: In the March 31, 1885-1886 Financial Statement for the Orono Presbyterian Church, Miss Isabella Moffatt is listed as one of the Missionary Collectors.

     She was born on 1 May 1814 at Scotland according to the 1901 census. This is supported by her grave marker which indicates she died at the age of 92 years, 10 months, so born about May 1814.^2,3,4,5,6,7 Alternatively, she may have been born circa May 1826 at Scotland if her age of 80 years & 8 months is accurate on her death registration, but this is provided by her doctor, and not by a family member.⁸ Jennet married John Alexander Gairdner in 1843.^8,2,3,9,4,6
     Janet Gairdiner (sic) died on 23 January 1907, possibly in Orono where she resided, at Clarke Twp., Durham County, Ontario, Canada, at age 92 according to Ontario Death Registration.^8,2,6 The informant on her death registration was Dr. Rutherford.⁸
     Jennet Renwick was buried at Orono Cemetery, Orono, Clarke Twp., Durham County, Ontario, Canada.⁶
